Haiti Mission Trip 2011

Dates of Trip :       March 12 – 21, 2011

Purpose of Trip :

 1. To work on a project that will help to continue the ministry of Christ through Radio Lumiere.

    (We hope to raise enough money ahead of time so that we can install a new radio station in Jacmel, Haiti).

2. Support and encourage the staff at Radio Lumiere.

3. Create an opportunity for our team members to hear God talking to us about His work world-wide,

    and our place in His work;

4. Create relationships between Haitian Christians and our team members that will last beyond this ten day trip.

 (For people who are interested, future Haiti Trips will be planned in January each year).

Types of Activities that we expect (Please be flexible):

• Encourage Haitian workers
• Construction work and/or work at a radio station location
• (Some nurses may possibly be involved in serving with Lumiere Medical Ministries).

  Expected Meetings for Work Team, Care Team, and Prayer Team:

(The first 3 meetings are to provide information to help each person decide if they want to make a commitment).

(The last 3 meetings are primarily to help the team to prepare for the trip).

2/13 - 11:45 am at Neffsville Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall (2371 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA)

3/6   -   6:00 pm  at Ray & Teresa's house 

Expected Fundraisers:            (Expected trip costs per person:  $1,800) (Plus we need $12,000 for equipment and supplies)

• Missions breakfast (August 29th - 8:15-8:45 am at Neffsville Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall)
• Possible Sales of car wash coupons at $15 each.
• Possible Sunday Noon fundraiser meal (at Neffsville Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall)
• Missions breakfast (October 31st - 8:15-8:45 am at Neffsville Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall)
